30th August 2025 – I will be visiting Solent Textile Group, to run a print workshop. They meet at Village Hall (previously the Parish Rooms) in Titchfield PO14 4AQ.
16th – 25th August 2025 – I am taking part in Hampshire Open Studios here at the studio with fellow artists, Liz Tanner and Anne Hellyer. We will be running “taster” workshops everyday, a chance for you to see artists at work and have a go yourself if you wish. We will also have a variety of different textile items on sale in our shop.
4th August 2025 – I am running workshops at the Oxford Textile Summer School. The event is held over 6 days All classes are held at The Oxford Academy in Littlemore, OX4 6JZ. Please see their website for full details of the classes on offer and how to book them – Oxford Textile Summer School

12th July 2025 – A print workshop for Stitch Cotswold, they meet at Reddings Community Centre, North Road West,Cheltenham,GL51 6RF.
21st June 2025 – Japanese Knot Bag. Join Anne Hellyer to stitch a pagoda design onto a beautiful “knot bag”. You will be using a combination of commercial and hand painted fabric. You will need an embroidery foot for your machine as we will be using the free motion embroidery technique, together with a straight stitch and zipper foot. All materials will be provided but you will need to bring your own sewing machine & threads. Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring a packed lunch. The cost will be £65 for the day.
14th June 2025 – Join me and Shelley Canning for your chance to make
a bespoke denim jacket.
You will choose your own printed material from Alison’s stash. No two jackets will be the same!! You must have a basic knowledge of dress making. By the end of the day you will have constructed the jacket, but finishing touches, topstitching, buttonholes etc can be finished at home, or you can arrange to come back to the studio another day. The day will run from 10am – 4pm, £75 for the day, including all materials, but you will need to bring your own sewing machine and threads.

April 26th / 27th 2025 – I will be taking part in The Brockenhurst Needlework Fiesta. It is held at Brockenhurst Village Hall, Hampshire, SO42 7RY. Traders selling all things textile and there are demonstrating artists in the upstairs gallery. The show raises a huge amount of money for local charities, entry fee is £3 p.p.
22nd / 23rd April 2025 – Jenny O’Leary will be visiting my studio from Shropshire to teach 2 batik workshops. Day 1 is based on Seedpods. The beautiful shapes of seedpods and various plant forms will be used as inspiration to create batiks on fabric. Working with hot wax as a resist and inks to create two different approaches to the technique, suitable for adding to with stitch at a later date. Day 2 will be based on the work of the artist John Piper. The artist John Piper created beautiful images of the English landscape and architecture. These will be the inspiration to create batiks on fabric. Working with hot wax and inks to make individual pieces of work.
No experience is necessary as the technique will be taught from scratch. You can book either one or or both days. £65 per day – Please bring with you an apron, hairdryer, disposable gloves, images for inspiration and two pieces of white or light cotton fabric this can be pre used or vintage. Everything else is provided. Tea and coffee will be provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch.

19th August – 28th August Hampshire Open Studios The Zero Nine Textile Arts Group – we will be showcasing our work at my Studio. The Studio at Home Farm, Whiteshoot, Red Lynch, SP5 2PR. 18th September – A Print Workshop. 10am – 4pm, £60 for the day. You will be using a variety of print techniques, Screens, wood blocks and gelli plates, I have a huge variety of images for you to choose and create your design, flowers, grasses, trees, a number of different text, abstract patterns. All equipment and paints included, bring your own fabrics and a packed lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided and I will have fabric you can purchase at cost. 23rd September – Anne Hellyer will be teaching An Introduction to Free Motion Embroidery. For those new to the technique it will be a fun day learning how to “draw” with your sewing machine. The day will include all materials but you will need to bring your own sewing machine and threads. You will also need a “darning” foot for your machine and your machine manual. The day will run from 10am – 4pm, £60 for the day. Tea and coffee will be provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch. Booking is essential.
24th September – Your chance to make a bespoke denim jacket. You will choose your own patterned material from Alison’s stash. Every jacket will be unique. Join Shelley Canning and me to learn how to sew this kit together. You must have some knowledge of dress making. You will have constructed the jacket by the end of the day but finishing touches, topstitching, buttonholes etc can be finished at home, or you can arrange to come back to the studio for another day. The day will include all materials but you will need to bring your own sewing machine and threads. 10am – 4pm. £85 for the day. Tea and coffee will be provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch. Booking is essential.

14th – 16th October – I will be having a stand at the Creative Autumn Exhibition which is to be held at the Garden Room, Cranborne Garden Centre, Wimborne St, Cranborne, Wimborne BH21 5PP. More etails will follow shortly.

23rd October – Anne Hellyer will be teaching a new workshop for the studio – “Beach Hut Bag” a small zipped pouch embellished with 3 little beach huts. A useful little bag for a those little odds and ends! , a small sewing kit or make up – its up to you. You will be using Anne’s hand painted fabrics and free motion embroidery. The day will include all materials but you will need to bring your own sewing machine and threads. 10am – 4pm. £60 for the day. Tea and coffee will be provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch. Booking is essential.
