27th May – I will be visiting Eau Brink Studios in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. An exciting new workshop as I will be collaborating with Jenny O’Leary so students will benefit from the expertise of both our disciplines.

20th / 21stMay – I am visiting the Isle of Wight, giving my talk and then the next day leading a workshop for the Isle of Wight Embroiderers. The meeting starts at 11.45am and is held at Arreton Community Centre, Arreton PO30 3AD

18th May – Running a workshop for The Textile Workshop group, they meet at Droxford Village Hall, The Square, Droxford SO32 3QL

13th May – I am leading a workshop for Bristol Stitchers meeting at Helliwell Room, Horfield Parish Church Hall, Wellington Hill, Horfield, Bristol BS7 8ST.

4th May – I will be giving my talk and a short demonstration to Wallop Artists. They meet at the Wallops Parish Hall, The Crossroads, Over Wallop, Stockbridge. SO20 8EG

29th / 30th April – I am visiting Wood Green Steam Fair – details to follow soon

22nd / 23rd April – I am taking part in the Brockenhurst Needlework Fiesta. A fantastic little show in aid of local charities. It is held at Brockenhurst Village Hall, Highwood Rd, SO42 7RY

20th April – I am visiting Ringwood and Hangersley W.I. The meeting takes place at WI Hall, Crow Ln, Ringwood BH24 3DZ and starts at 7pm.

17th April – I will be visiting Andover Stitchers to give my talk “My life in stitch”. They meet at 7pm, Village Hall, The Fairground, Weyhill, Andover SP11 0QN.

30th / 31st March – I am teaching at Ardington School of Craft near Wantage, Oxfordshire. Full details and the booking page are on their website.

25th / 26th March – I am taking part in the West Norfolk Textile Fair. To be held at the Dukes Head Hotel, Tuesday Market Place, Kings Lynn, PE30 1JS

16th March – 19th March. I will be at the Creative Craft Show. I will be teaching a print workshop every day. The full details will be on the Creative Craft website and you will be able to book your place through them.

13th March – A talk for Newbury Creative Stitchers. The group meet at St Francis de Sales Church Hall RG14 6NH and the meeting starts at 7.30pm

12th March – A Print Day, the day will run from 10am – 4pm. You will be using a variety of print techniques: screens, wood blocks and gelli plates. I have a huge variety of images for you to use to create your design, flowers, grasses, trees, a number of different texts and abstract patterns. The cost is £60 for the day, all equipment and paints included, please bring your own fabrics and a packed lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided and I will have fabric you can purchase at cost. 11th March – Shelly Canning will be back at the studio, this time to create a very useful bag in your choice of my printed fabric. The bag has several pockets which makes it a handy project bag. With your choice of either denim or cotton drill it can also be used as a sturdy shopping bag.You will need to bring your own sewing machine & threads. 8th March – I will be a trader at West Country Embroiders “Dorset Day” to be held at  Hamworthy Club, Magna Road, Canford Magna, Wimborne. BH21 3AP

26th February – Anne Hellyer will be returning to the studio to teach an “Introduction to Machine Embroidery”, for those new to the technique it will be a fun day learning how to “draw” with your sewing machine. You will need to bring your own sewing machine and threads, together with a “darning foot” for your machine and the machine manual. The cost is £60 per day including all materials. 25th February – Join Shelley Canning & me for your chance to make a bespoke artists smock. You will choose your own patterned material from my stash, so every top will be different!! You must have some knowledge of dress making. By the end of the day you will have constructed the top, maybe even finished it, but any finishing touches can be done at home. You will need to bring your own sewing machine & threads. The cost for the day is £70 including all materials. Tea and coffee will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch. 21st February – A workshop day for the Wimborne & District branch of West Country Embroiders. The venue is Three Legged Cross Village Hall, Wimborne, BH21 6SD

26th November – Anne Hellyer will be teaching her very popular “Set the Town Alight” nightlight workshop. A beautiful 3D wrap suitable for use with LED string lights or a battery operated tea- light candle. You will be using Anne’s hand painted fabrics and free motion embroidery. The day will include all materials but you will need to bring your own sewing machine and threads. A minimum of black and white but bring threads in your favourite colours. 10am – 4pm. £60 for the day. Tea and coffee will be provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch. 12th / 13th November – Dye and Print workshop. Day 1 “Backgrounds & Dying”. Learn how to create stunning background fabrics using procion dyes. Day 2. Print a design and then make it into a bag or pinny. Both days run from 10am – 4pm, £120. You will be using a variety of print techniques, Screens, wood blocks and gelli plates, I have a huge variety of images for you to choose and create your design, flowers, grasses, trees, a number of different text, abstract patterns. I am not booking any workshops through August but the studio will be available if you want to come and play. 20th – 29th August – The Zero Nine Textile Artists group , of which I have been a member since we formed in 2005 are taking part in Hampshire Open Studios here at my studio: The Studio at Home Farm, Redlynch, Whiteshoot, SP5 2PR. We will be open from 10am to 5pm every day. Come and meet the artists – there will be different members of the group stewarding each day.

There will also be tea and cakes and a book sale in aid of our chosen Charities, Salisbury and Andover Hospices.

September 2022

10th / 11th September – I will be teaching at Ardington School of Art, The Old School, School Road, Wantage OX12 8PN. The weekend will consist of 2 one day courses. 24th September – Your chance to make a bespoke denim jacket. You will choose your own patterned material from Alison’s stash. Every jacket will be unique. Join Shelley Canning and me to learn how to sew this kit together. You must have some knowledge of dress making. You will have constructed the jacket by the end of the day but finishing touches, topstitching, buttonholes etc can be finished at home, or you can arrange to come back to the studio for another day. The day will include all materials but you will need to bring your own sewing machine and threads. 10am – 4pm. £85 for the day. Tea and coffee will be provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch. Booking is essential.

14th – 16th October – I will be having a stand at the Creative Autumn Exhibition which is to be held at the Garden Room, Cranborne Garden Centre, Wimborne St, Cranborne, Wimborne BH21 5PP. More etails will follow shortly.

23rd October – Anne Hellyer will be teaching a new workshop for the studio – “Beach Hut Bag” a small zipped pouch embellished with 3 little beach huts. A useful little bag for a those little odds and ends! , a small sewing kit or make up – its up to you. You will be using Anne’s hand painted fabrics and free motion embroidery. The day will include all materials but you will need to bring your own sewing machine and threads. 10am – 4pm. £60 for the day.
